The Stables at Nempnett Limited

About us

Julie and Paul are the owners of The Stables At Nempnett. It has been a long time in the making to finally be able to get a small plot of land to be able to retire on and start a life time dream of raising horses. Not on a large scale but producing quality over quantity the stunning Spanish Spotted Saddle Horses. To breed and train this beautiful rare horse is a great privilege.

Julie started riding in her early teens in the 1980's at Frog Lane Farm in Winford riding through the country lanes of the local area. The love of horses then progressed to being a groom when she left school at Tynings Riding Centre, Charterhouse on Mendip with training and riding lessons at Urchinwood Manor, Congresbury. Owning serval horses over the years based at Dundry then Keynsham. Then leaving the industry for a while to raise their children but keeping in contact with friends, helping them with their horses in breeding and training.

Their youngest son Sam went to Chew Valley School so both have a knowledge and love of the local area. Having had lots of picnics at Chew Valley Lake and watching the Perseids meteor showers each year over the lake (cloud cover allowing!) The night sky at the field is stunning when the sky is clear.
