Luna is a 13 year old Chestnut Fewspot British Appaloosa mare. She was our first mare to produce a foal at The Stables.
She is a wonderful mare and wonders around with you as you field pick. Always interested in what is going on in the yard and will come and investigate anything new.
Rey is a fun loving gelding that plays with his footballs and any toy he can steal from the dogs. He will also follow you around the field whilst you are field picking - but beware - when your back is turned - he turns over the wheelbarrow! He takes no notice of stable door bolts and can easily get out of his stable and into the feed barn. Resulted in changing the stable doors and bolts to one's that he is now trying to figure out how to open.
Rey will free rein around the arena and if you leave the jumps out - will go and play with them. Sometimes jumping over them, other times just kicking them over. He loves attention and will be happy to eat any treats that he finds whether in your hand or trying to get them out of your pockets. Lots of charactor with a great love of the hosepipe. Since Rey came to the stables we are now on hose number three which has two joins in it already. Make that hose number 4!
Delphina is our new mare, who came to us in the summer of 2024. She recently went to stud and is expecting her foal in June 2025.
Delphina is very quite on her feet and can sneak up on you very easily. Have walked into her a few times over the dark winter nights without realising she was there.
Delphina will inspect every bale of hay that arrives in the yard. Doing a taste test on each bale.
She is wonderful in motion and holds herself beautifully with tail high whilst running with the others around the field. Bosses everyone around including her humans, this includes kicking the stable door if she is kept waiting for her breakfast and dinner!
Welsh Mountain Pony (Section A)
Moonlight loves her humans and her humans love her
Moonlight loves getting into all sorts of mischief with her partner in crime Rey. Where Rey goes, Moonlight is not far behind.
Her human partner in crime is Rosie both blue eyed and blond haired!
If you spend hours brushing and cleaning Moonlight, you can guarantee that as soon as she is let out into the field, she will find the muddiest part of the field - roll, splash and end up looking as if she has never had a brush taken to her coat in all her life!
Moonlight has started the process of training to pull a small cart. This is in the early stages but has given her a new outlet and she has taken to walking in front with no problem at all.
